설명(영)

Pesticides are the active ingredients used in pesticide products. In the U.S., pesticides are regulated by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) under the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA). A pesticide is defined in the U.S. EPA regulations as "any substance or mixture of substances intended for preventing, destroying, repelling, or mitigating the effects of any pest" (40 CFR 455.10). In the U.S., pesticides for use in consumer products, including cosmetics, must be registered and approved by the U.S. EPA. In the EU, Japan, and other countries, similar requirements may also apply, and the user is directed to contact the appropriate regulatory agencies. The listing below includes pesticides reported by suppliers as being used in cosmetic products. For information on the use of pesticides in any product in the U.S., the user is directed to contact the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for registration and approval.
